We went into town today and I discovered three things:
- The Forbidden Planet here is HUGE. And, it’s got one of the original daleks from the 60’s on display! Sadly (but understandably) within glass, so there can be no touching.
- We found a nice clothing shop called Underground, that’s kinda like Shock in Malmö, but, well, less. A lot less. And much less diverse, sadly. But they had such a nice coat, and not too expensive either *drool* And the owner (I think) was nice. She was apparently dressed for Halloween, and I didn’t make the connection. I mean, she kinda looked like, you know, anyone that would buy clothes from that kind of shop and actually use them.
- The Waterstones in town (the bigger of them, I think) has THE LARGEST COLLECTION OF SCIENCE FICTION AND FANTASY THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN. Like, they had EVERYTHING. (except for the Sherlock Holmes collection with the original illustrations from The Strand, that I saw once in Malmö and have never seen since) (yeah yeah, it’s probably on Amazon.co.uk)
And we went past Ikea (which lies more or less in the middle of the city centre) and got some tunnbröd. Yummie! All in all, I’m starting to like this town a bit better. (just a bit)
